The Vocational Nurture Day Center for people with autism focuses on connecting people with medium and low-functioning autism to the community and the world around them. The Center works to develop participants’ communication skills and improve everyday functioning and quality of life. This is achieved through vocational activity that holds personal interest to individual participants, and through connecting  to a broad range of sports, art and musical activities, including gardening. Located in a residential neighborhood, participants are brought into direct contact with the local community through daily walks in the neighborhood and contact with local service providers.

25 people on the ASD spectrum attend the Vocational Nurture Center for people with Autism daily and plans are now being implemented to expand the Center to serve 40 people.
