בית שק"ל החדש

המרכז לתעסוקה שיקומית והכשרה של שק"ל נפתח ב-1.9.08 ברחוב יד חרוצים 11, א.ת. תלפיות, ירושלים, בעזרת תרומות מקרן מורשה, קרן הרי וג'נט ויינברג, המוסד לביטוח לאומי וידידים נדיבים רבים.

200 אנשים עם צרכים מיוחדים מועסקים ב-7 קווי ייצור בנרות, סבונים, קרטונים, אריזות, מלאכות יד, במתפרה ובחנות המתנות. 

בבניין גם מרכז הכשרה במחשבים המכשיר אנשים עם צרכים מיוחדים לעבודה נתמכת בשוק העסקי ומציע קורסים במחשבים בתחומים שונים וברמות שונות. ישנו גם סטודיו לגרפיקה המכשיר האנשים עם נכויות קשות לעבוד כגרפיקאים. בגג גינה טיפולית , תרומת משפחת זוסמן, המכשירה אנשים עם מוגבלויות לעבוד בגינון. בית קפה ייפתח בעתיד.

SHEKEL’s new Vocational Rehabilitation and Training Center at 11 Yad Harutzim St., Jerusalem, opened on September 1, 2008 with the help of the Legacy Heritage Fund, The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, the National Insurance Institute and many more wonderful donors. 

200 people with special needs are employed on 7 production lines making soaps, candles, cartons, packaging and handicrafts as well as in the sewing workshop and gift shop. Training in computers and other work skills is offered to improve work skills to prepare people with special needs for semi-independent jobs in the regular work force and to improve communication. A graphics studio trains people with severe disabilities to work as graphic artists. A Rooftop Therapy Garden, donated by the Zusman Family, trains people with disabilities in gardening. A Coffee Shop will open in the near future.
